Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 9, 2026 · Effective: April 9, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how MakersClaw, operated by Cogaid Solutions Private Limited, uses cookies and similar technologies on the MakersClaw platform. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixels that behave like cookies. In this policy we use "cookies" to mean all of them.
2. Categories of cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary
These are required to operate the Service. You cannot opt out of them because without them the site will not function.
- Authentication and session (Supabase) — keeps you signed in, protects against CSRF, routes requests to your session. Duration: session to 1 year.
- Security — rate limiting, bot protection, abuse detection. Duration: session to 30 days.
- Preferences — theme (light/dark), language, layout selection, and cookie-consent choice itself. Duration: up to 1 year.
2.2 Analytics (optional, consent required)
These cookies help us understand which features are used, how performance is trending, and where users get stuck. They are loaded only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner.
- PostHog — product analytics with pseudonymous identifiers. Duration: up to 1 year.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — aggregate web analytics. Duration: up to 2 years.
2.3 Advertising / retargeting
We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not sell your data, and we do not run ad networks on the Service.
3. The cookies we actually set
Today: none. makersclaw.com is a waitlist page. It has no sign-in, so there is no session cookie; it runs no analytics, so there is nothing optional to store; and it shows no consent banner, so there is no cookie remembering your choice. You can verify this in your browser's developer tools.
When accounts reopen, the categories in section 2 come back with them, and this section will list each cookie by name, provider, purpose, and duration before it is set.
4. Managing your preferences
Once accounts reopen, a cookie banner asks for your consent to optional cookies with granular toggles: one for product analytics (PostHog), one for web analytics (Google Analytics). You can accept both, reject both, or enable only one. You can change your choice at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the site footer. Rejecting or withdrawing consent will disable the corresponding analytics cookies but will not affect strictly necessary cookies. No banner appears on the waitlist site because it sets no cookies.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break features such as sign-in.
Helpful links: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
4. Do Not Track
Because there is no common industry standard for how websites should respond to "Do Not Track" signals, we currently do not respond to them. We instead give you explicit control through the cookie banner and the settings described above.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as we add or remove services. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
