Remove my data from the Library
Some Library collections list people. If you are listed and want out, tell us here. We email you a link, and pressing it takes you out.
What we hold, and why
Who we are
The Library is run by MakersClaw (Cogaid Solutions Private Limited, Howrah, India). We decide what goes into it and why. Under data protection law, that makes us the controller of what it holds about people. Our contact details, and our representative in the EU, are in the Privacy Policy.
What we hold
Some collections list people, such as a partner at an investment fund. For each person we may hold a name, a job title, the organisation they work for, a work email address, and a link to a public profile. We also keep the web page where we found them.
Where it comes from
From public web pages, such as a fund's own site or a published article. Every entry records the page it came from. We do not use lists bought from data vendors.
Why we hold it
So founders and teams who use MakersClaw can find the right investors and partners, and get in touch about their work. In the EU and UK, our legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). We have weighed it against your rights and interests.
Who sees it
MakersClaw members can see the entries in the Library, and can copy them into their own workspace. Our service providers store the data for us, such as our database host. The pages on this website show only business details, such as a fund's name and city. They never show a person's name, email address or phone number.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to take it out, or until we find it is out of date.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to remove it, and object to us holding it. We send a link to that address first, so nobody can remove someone else. Pressing it removes you from every collection at once. It also adds a one-way fingerprint of your email address to a block list, so you are not added again. We then remove you from copies that members made.
We keep your request, with the email address, name and note you send, so that we can reply and show that we did it. You can also write to hello@makersclaw.com. If you are in California, the same form is how you ask us to delete your information. If you are not happy with how we handled your request, you can complain to your data protection authority.
The rest of how we handle personal data is in our Privacy Policy.
